  • Since 10 years EC involve in the IPv6 deployment:

  • APNIC 473 from 49 countries, 42% of responses from Australia and New Zealand
  • Also this year the results on IPv6 capabilities of Alexa top 500 sites were measured. A website is considered IPv6 reachable if the DNS resolves to IPv6 over IPv6 and website content is obtained over IPv6. In July an intermediate analysis did not show much improvement. To test whether this was caused by websites accessible only through www or IPv6 subdomains the list of tested domain names was broadened with subdomains www and IPv6 to improve. This happened on the 14th of July. It did result in an increase in number of websites but also here not much improvement was visible. The conclusion is therefore that growth in IPv6 capable websites is negligible.
  • Be carrefull: Indicate that the study on security check all TECHNICAL issues regarding particularly the Interconnexion between IPv6 and IPv4 domain..
