  • 9. Email: office@intermedline.com Phone: +1 518 620 42 25 13. Eye Surgeons examine and places drops in Eyes to dilate (widen) pupils. This makes it easier for Surgeon to see the lens of Eye. 14. Local Anesthetic drops will be placed in the Eye. Sometime local Anesthetic Injection is used, according to its requirement. 15. A very small (tiny) cut is made on the surface of the eye. This cut is so small that no stitches are required after the surgery. 16. With use of Ultrasound tool the lens with Cataract is broken up. The lens sits in lens capsule (Thin sac of tissues).
  • 10. Email: office@intermedline.com Phone: +1 518 620 42 25 17. With help of small tube the broken pieces of lens are removed (with suction). 18. The artificial lens (Intraocular Lens(IOL)) is then inserted through the same cut in to the lens capsule. The lens is folded in condition (like wrap/coil) so that it can pass through the tiny cut. 19. The artificial lens so designed and folded that once it is inserted, it automatically unfolds itself inside the lens capsule 20. The Eye will be covered with a dressing to provide protection 21. The dressing can be removed after few hours to days depending upon advice by Surgeon
