  • IHCDA is under the Lt. Gov’s auspices Runs weatherization programs, housing assistance, relationship with HUD (fed) Foreclosure prevention network OFBCI is a component agency, provides a component to this program (does not oversee it) via our website, you can see all 12 community partners overseeing volunteerism and service through this program on a local level
  • Need people to participate in discussions Need expertise of people of all abilities, and of varying backgrounds Need input on local resources Need input on planning gaps Need volunteers to help address gaps in planning
  • These are formative years, where kids are getting mentorship, homework help, and other assistance through BGC These kids are of varying abilities and background. It makes sense for the volunteers to reflect that. Introduction to AmeriCorps, which is present at many of these BGC sites
  • * This map under-represents the presence of AmeriCorps, but per when you use a different format, showing the host sites and not just the grantees, you see that Indiana AmeriCorps has a great reach
