IEEE Computer Society Launches New Journal on Network Science and Engineering

  1. 1. IEEE Computer Society Launches New Journal on Network Science and Engineering LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 17 April 2014 – IEEE Computer Society has launched a new journal on network science and engineering. IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (TNSE) will publish twice this year, then move to quarterly. The journal is now accepting submissions. Ali Jadbabaie, an internationally renowned expert in the control and coordination of multi-robot formations, networked systems, and network science, has been named editor in chief of TNSE. Jadbabaie is the Alfred Fitler Moore Professor of Network Science in the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering. He is also the cofounder and director of the Singh Program in Networked and Social Systems (NETS) at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Jadbabaie holds a PhD in Control and Dynamical Systems from California Institute of Technology and an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of New Mexico. TNSE publishes peer-reviewed technical articles that deal with the theory and applications of network science and the interconnections among the elements in a system that form a network. Aimed at discovering common principles that govern network structures, functionalities, and behaviors, the journal seeks articles on understanding, prediction, and control of network structures and behaviors. Learn more about the journal's scope, submit a paper, or subscribe at http://www.computer.org/tnse.
