When should you perform Local SEO? When your target audiences are expected to come from a particular region, i.e. when your business demands prospects from a particular region.

That is, when the offerings from your site are meant for local people, you have to perform Local SEO

You can also try Google Local and similarly for Yahoo & MSN. Implement usual onsite optimization such as optimizing the website for keywords. Writing Title, Headings with relevant keywords etc.

Continue to establish back links from similar websites while focusing to submit the site to local SEs. You will be surprised to realize your results in few days. Its true.

I shall present the comparative SEO work I did for 2 sites, one targeting local audience and the other targeting global audience.

The 2 websites are: http://www.advisor2u.com (targeting local + global audience) http://www.smartcoupons.in (targeting local audience)

Onsite optimization was done in usual manner for both the sites. But while establishing links care was taken to submit the 2 nd site to more local SEs and Directories, while the 1st site

was submitted to local as well as global SEs and Directories . The success of the results for both the sites can be viewed in next slide.
