    I recently attended the Internet Marketing workshop and listened to the above presentation on video blogging. As a part of an inbound marketing strategy video blogging does provide major advantages to website owners. Catie Foertsch presented a balanced and well organized presentation with several key take home points easily implemented by novices and experts alike.

  6. Prepare for your shoot • Shoot your video • Upload to your computer • Edit • Upload to a hosting site • Embed in your blog •
  7. Answer a question • Make a list • Tell a true story (with disguises) •
  8. Beware “Raccoon Eyes” – don’t place yourself underneath an overhead light.
  9. Don’t shoot in front of a window, or your face will be a dark blob.
  10. Don’t use a window as your only source of light.
  11. Don’t scare people with your giant head.
  12. Don’t leave too much head room (you appear small and tentative)
  13. Don’t wear white. And don’t wear clothing that’s lighter than your skin tone.
  14. Your face should be the brightest object in the frame.
  15. Don’t make yourself insignificant by being too small in the frame.
  16. Think about what your background says about you and your business
  17. Plenty of light, framed correctly, wearing good color, good background.
  18. Ditto.
  19. Professionally dressed, good framing, good light, face is brightest object in the frame.
