    • Huahine Beach Resort_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________An Anderson Resort International programHuahine Beach Resort has been developed by Anderson Resorts International,Inc. (A.R.I.I.)This nine year, ten million dollars on-going master-planning program , hasassociated world-level experts in the hotel, leisure and theme-park industry, and received the support of the Mayor of Huahine, the local Huahinepopulation and the Tahitian government. It will be jointly operated by A.R.I.I. and travel industry principal actors of theworld scene.Huahine Beach Resort real estate first phase pre-sales and sales launchingprogram will be marketed by Sotheby’s. 7
    • Huahine Beach Resort_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Huahine Beach Resort Valley of the KingsThe pristine island of Huahine lies 175 kilometers (110 miles) northwest ofTahiti in the South-Pacific, midway of the USA, China, Japan, and Australia. An abundance of lush dense forests on the slopes of a breathtaking geography,Huahine is surrounded by ever-warm turquoise waters with intricate marineecosystems.Selected with the support of the Mayor of Huahine, the 800 acres site consistsof a valley nested below mountainous spines over a crystalline ocean lagoon.Historically known as Valley of the Kings, home to the original PolynesianRoyalty, and adjacent to archeolog y sites dating back to 700 A.D., th is landconveys an exceptional relationship to nature and culture.Huahine Beach Resort will preserve this exclusive genuine island atmosphere ,as the core of what this program is all about: offering the unique. 8

    • Huahine Beach Resort_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ SOCIETY ISLANDS The Society Islands, considered "Paradise on Earth" by savvy travelers, were explored by Captains Cook and Bligh, but they were made truly famous bythe paintings of the artist, Paul Gauguin, and by the words of author, James A.Michener. Divided into the Windward Islands (Iles du Vent), and the LeewardIslands (Iles Sous le Vent) they were given their stylish name by Captain JamesCook in 1769, when he named them after Englands Royal Society- and Royalislands they certainly are. Most of these rugged islands are volcanic in origin, witha few small coral atolls mixed in. Of these, the most recognizable names are thelegendary islands of Bora Bora, Huahine, Moorea, and Tahiti. The site for Huahine Beach Resort is on approximately 800+ acres of whatthe President of French Polynesia calls “one of Tahiti’s most beautiful and 10
    • Huahine Beach Resort_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________authentically preserved islands”. It has been historically known as Valley of theKings, home to the original Polynesian Royalty. These conditions make Huahine Beach Resort unique over other islandresorts because of the genuine island atmosphere that it offers, unlike others thatare offset by a faster paced modern society. Most of the current visitors to French Polynesia are from Europe, Asia, andU.S. mainland, particularly California, which, if it were a separate country, wouldrank as having the sixth largest GDP in the world. Hawaii’s dominance of Pacificisland tourism was forged by effort. With the concerted effort of the public andprivate sectors in French Polynesia, it can be emulated on a more modest butsuccessful scale, this time respecting the environmental and cultural assets of theislands. The South Pacific Islands and Tahiti in particular have not penetrated thepotential travel market to any significant degree – the leader is Fiji with 430,000annual visitors, with Tahiti already generating half that number. In contrast, theislands of Hawaii host more than 6,000,000 visitors per year, which far exceedsthe combined numbers for all of the South Pacific Islands. In March of 2008, Tahiti obtained a long-awaited Approved DestinationStatus (ADS), a bilateral tourism arrangement with the Chinese government. Theagreement opened the door to Chinese group leisure travel for Tahiti and HerIslands. Last June, the Sofitel French Polynesia organized a Tahiti Road Showpromotion to highlight all of Tahiti in three Chinese cities, Shanghai, Guangzhouand Beijing in an attempt to attract to Tahiti some of the 13 million well-off andrich Chinese out of the 70 million who travel overseas. In summary, internationaltourist markets are there for the taking if a viable development and marketing plancan be implemented. 11
