  • Welcome to the University Tutorial Program’s Tutor Orientation. After this presentation, you will be ready to start tutoring!

  • Where do you find Tutor Trac? You can find TT by logging in to your Hofstra Portal, clicking the My Apps icon in the upper right corner, then clicking on the TutorTrac icon
  • When a student books an appointment, it must be more than 24 hours in advance, and cannot be more than seven days in advance. To make an appointment weekly, contact UTP.
  • How to Get Paid – There are three procedures you must do regularly in order to get paid. 1 – If UTP is your only, or primary, job, on campus, you must use the E-time system to log your hours. Please refer to the video on how to time-stamp with the E-time system. 2 – You must mark the student as “attended” or “missed” on Tutor Trac. Please refer to the video on how to mark the status of your tutees.3 – Lastly, you must submit a timecard by Friday at 3pm every week.

  • What If I Have to Change/Cancelan Appointment? To RESCHEDULE an appointment: Coordinate with the student for a new appointment Notify UTP of the change via email AND a note on yourtime card To CANCEL an appointment: Tell UTP and the student If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, it isconsidered a Tutor “No Show”
