  3. 3. What you will do?<br />Read! Read!! Read!!!<br />Please see the resource lists for the titles you have to read!<br />You have to read carefully and pay attention to the details of the books<br />You have to have a very good memory<br />You have to answer a lot of questions about the books you read<br />
  4. 4. Rules of The Battle of the Books<br />
  5. 5. Rules! Rules!! Rules!!<br />The teacher will ask YOU questions from the books you read.<br />For example – In which book does a little girl get a china rabbit from her grandmother as a birthday present?<br />You have to answer the question by providing the title of the book and the name of the author<br />
  6. 6. You will have more chances to win if you follow the rules of the game! <br />
  7. 7. More rules!!!<br />You have pronounce the title of the book and the name of the author accurately<br />If you can only remember the title of the book you will earn two points for your team<br />If you can also provide the name of the author you will earn 1 point for your team<br />If you only remember the name of the author but forget the title of the book, no point!<br />
  8. 8. Even more rules!<br />
  9. 9. Please keep it in your mind…<br />You are allowed to have discussion with your team members and try to figure out the answer.<br />But your team only has 20 seconds! <br />If your team can’t answer the question, the teacher will ask the other team (your “enemies”) the same question<br />Your “enemies” will have 10 seconds to figure out the answer. If they can answer the question correctly, they will have 2 points!<br />

More details<br />Your English teacher will tell you who will be your fellow soldiers and who will be your “enemies”!<br />Students need to finish 10 books on the resource list and the first round of the battle will be held in the week of Jan 9-13, 2012<br />Students need to finish another 10 books and the second round of the battle will be held in the week of Apr 16-20, 2012 <br />
