  • 13. GET TO KNOW YOUR COMMUNITY 3. Establish a Hispanic Advisory Committee
  • 14. Committee members should include •  Business leaders •  Religious leaders •  Academic leaders •  Local government officials
  • 15. Invite the Committee Members to meet with you regularly and offer insights into the issues that matter to the Hispanic community.
  • 16. INVITE THE COMMUNITY TO GET TO KNOW YOU 4. Conduct Mobile Office Hours
  • 17. Hispanic communities may not have an institutional knowledge of the services a congressional office can provide.
  • 18. Go into Hispanic neighborhoods and bring constituent services to them.
  • 19. ENGAGE HISPANIC MEDIA 5. Commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month with Op-Eds & Social Media.
  • 20. Write an Op-Ed highlighting the contributions of Hispanic Americans or addressing issues of concern to Hispanics in your area.
  • 21. By introducing yourself to Hispanic media, you’ll make relationships that may result in future appearances and interviews.
  • 22. It isn’t necessary to speak Spanish in order to engage Hispanic media.
  • 23.
