When Education Hits Social Media (Part I)

This series of 3 presentations demonstrates how a university can be mapped as a whole on asocial media platform. Throughout these presentations, we will demonstrate how social mediacan improve the visibility of a university as well as increase engagement and efficiency of itsmembers.In this first presentation, we introduce some key members of Springfield University and theirvarious contexts through which they interact. We also discuss the need for such institutions togo social and the main pitfalls in their adoption of social media platforms.The second presentation introduces the needs of Springfield University professor HelenMcLaren for a new communication tool to help in her daily tasks.Finally, in the third presentation, a Springfield University student, Cynthia Chang, describeshow she uses social media for her studies and personal interactions.All comments are welcome. @ 2012 Hibe Inc. 2
