  5. 5. INSULATIONTYPES Spray Foam Closed Cell •  Fills voids and air seals all penetrations •  Hard and dense R-value 2x4: up to R 21 2x6: up to R33 Closed cell foam does not allow moisture to pass through it.
  6. 6. INSULATIONTYPES Spray Foam Open Cell •  Fills voids and air seals all penetrations •  Soft and Porous R-value 2x4: up to R 13 2x6: up to R 20 Open cell foam allows moisture to pass through it and can expand 100 time it original size.
