“Vestmannaeyjar (which is the name of the island and of the village on it) has about 4000 inhabitants and is best known for its volcanic activities and for the puffins.1973 there was the last eruption which created an actual mountain (200m high) out of nothing. this “mountain” was also the aim of our hikingtrip on the second day. The view from the top of this volcano is really amazing, especiallybecause the landscape is just incredible. There are still spots that are warm and if you dig just a little bit, the stones get really hot at some places.”“i would love to live in that island just the sea wind and me “
