this is a remarkable presentation... insights into a world of different times..

now for some boys opinion: I am so glad women today dont wear anything remotely similar to this... these dresses must have been so suffocating... dresses have to to be comfortable...

in india, women in the cities have taken to western clothing... the traditional 'saree' which women used to wear took a long time to ear, hence it is losing out... for everyday dressing, convenience rules; for once in a while occasions, dresses can be diffenert but certainly nothing like this...

    thank for putting this together

I just love the Romantic UK Knight's Graham view and reaffirm that more than 2 hours Brazilian women spend to put a tiny bikini to go to the beach, so your beloved Lady is absolutely normal .

    Thanks for the valuable demonstration...Helga

Dear Helga: OK... so you want a boys opinion... well, here goes...

I found your show most informative and interesting... and yes, some of the clothes were certainly impressive and quite glamourous.

In today's world, I like a woman to dress in a feminine way, e.g. a simple pretty dress with minimal make-up, and personally I prefer to wear smart jeans and a crisp smart sports shirt.

Can you imagine... it must have taken HOURS to get dressed in these old times... Even today...my wife takes 2-hours to get ready; and that's in today's relatively simple clothes... so I am really happy that she doesn't have to wear anything like this... we would NEVER be ready to go out anywhere!! :-)

You asked for a male opinion... so you got one!

Your show certainly stirred up some opinion... I hope we hear some more!

    Hugs from Graham

I really enjoyed your presentation Helga , I'm glad that we don't need to wear those clothes in the Summer, I can olnly imagine how hot they must have felt wearing them . I would love to see one from the 1950's as well , Thank you for sharing .

    Dear friends Doina.,Gabriela.. girls..!
' At that time it’s easy to conclude that the only work ofor women was to beautify ..for the court and seduce their husbands.

Children care and house keeping was to the bourgeoisie...... hahaha

So would love to live !

Queridas amigas ..naquela epoca é facil concluir que o unico trabalho das mulheres era a de se embelezar para a corte e seduzir os maridos.

cuidar de filhos e casa era para a burguesia ...hahaha..

    Assim até eu viveria !
