  • 1. The London riots were influenced greatly by the media, via Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. Glamour and media magazines advertise size 0 as the perfect size. This has lead to people aspiring to be like them, and suffering from the results. Children’s programmes such as Charlie and Lola have a positive influence on kids, because it teaches them morals and how to be a good person. Games like Black Ops are a negative influence, as they promote violence and killing as ‘fun’, and de-sensitize people playing it completely. Celebrities like Beyonce are positively influential, as they don’t do drugs or alcohol and they are successful, making them good role models for kids. and Media influences Advertisements from charities such as Great Ormond street and the NSPCC influence people positively, as they persuade people to donate to the charities.
