  • The Life of the Sensitive Burden Bearer
  • The burden bearer – what is it?
  • • The sensitive who absorbs the thoughts, feelings and emotions of another individual • They are easily overwhelmed by the continual flow of sensory data
  • • They find it difficult to define their own sore spots from the continual bombardment of other people • They have generally a lack of self- belief • They assume their sensitivity is weird
  • The lack of self-acceptance leads to: • Poor self-image • Low self-esteem • Distrust in own perceptions
  • What they sense and feel is going on below the level of other people’s consciousness physically, emotionally, and spiritually
  • Therefore… As a child the ‘burden bearing’ sensitive may have experienced • • • Rejection Mockery Dismissal
  • Which leads to: Protecting yourself, shutting down
  • Reactions to Sensitivity
  • Highly sensitive people have one of two reactions
  • Is to follow the intuitive directive to ‘help make things better’. They throw themselves into ‘fixing’ whatever and whomever they consider needs fixing.
  • OR They withdraw because there is too much pain out there. They believe trying to fix things is futile so remove themselves from the source of pain. People!
  • Making things better no matter what
  • Leads to: Undisciplined compassion Undisciplined compassion lacks strength, wisdom, or direction Eventually resulting in – burnout!
  • The desire for deep development comes:
  • When you become more self-responsible Have forgiven aspects of life in order to move forward Have balanced the basics of personal healing and intuition
  • Have moved on from / in the process of removing yourself from damaging situations Have had ‘enough’ of repeating scenarios and patterns Want to move your consciousness into a more fulfilling life
