The South Orange County Wastewater Authority is a Joint Powers Authority comprised of 10 member agencies General Manager South Orange County Waste Water Authority with responsibility for maintaining, repairing, managing, operating, and controlling facilities for the treatment and disposal of wastewater. With a staff of 61 and an operational budget of $19.5 million, SOCWA treats South Orange County’s wastewater at its four treatment facilities. SOCWA also provides recycled water, administers an areawide Industrial Pretreatment Program, manages a regional water reclamation permit, and directs cooperative purchasing and regional service contracts. Serving at the pleasure of the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for the overall administration, management, planning, engineering, construction, maintenance, and Closing Date: 03/28/2014 operation of the Authority’s complex secondary and tertiary wastewater treatment plants and related facilities. The Board of Directors is seeking a General Manager with significant and relevant experience who is seen as an “expert” in the wastewater field. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough working knowledge of wastewater operation and regulatory issues. The position requires the equivalent of a Bachelor’s and 5 years of progressively responsible senior management experience with a wastewater agency. The salary, approximately $180,000 - $210,000, is set by the Board and includes an excellent benefits package. Project Management Office Director San Francisco, CA San Francisco, one of the most livable and culturally diverse cities in the country, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Management Office (PMO) Director. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the PMO Director will oversee a start-up team of approximately 6 direct reports. This high energy manager will partner with the leadership team to ensure that an approximately $20 million annual project budget for the City-wide portfolio of complex IT programs, ranging from ERP implementation to PBX consolidation to Data Center(s) consolidations, are efficiently and effectively executed. In this highly visible role, the PMO Director will work closely with other key City technology Closing Date: Open until filled stakeholders and project team members in managing a variety of enterprise-wide projects. The ideal PMO Director candidate will have a proven track record of successfully building and managing a project portfolio that includes a mix of corporate DT and IT projects. This high energy Project Manager will drive the development and execution of assigned projects to ensure 100% success of agreed upon project deliverables.
