To restore Lake Erie to full health, we must reduce the amount of stormwater runoff it absorbs. • The design provided storm water storage volume for up to a 50 year, 25 hr storm event. A storm event greater than 50 yrs will overflow into the existing catch basins.
  • UNDER DRAIN: The pipe was sized to limit storm water outflow into the combined sewer system at a maximum 10 year, 24 hour rain event. This helps ( in a small way ) to limit the overflows of the combined sewers into local streams and rivers by reducing the volume in these sewers.TREES:WPC transplanted 4 trees and left 1 in place. The contractor adjusted the design of the rain garden around the existing tree.
