- About The Putting the I in Health IT℠ platform, launched by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), allows patients, providers, and others to share their health IT experiences through real-world examples, and helps them describe how health IT has improved patient care. ONC is charged with coordinating nationwide efforts to accelerate and encourage the use of the most advanced health IT, including electronic health records (EHRs), and the secure electronic exchange of health information. ONC provides resources to providers and hospitals to facilitate adoption of EHRs to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care.
