Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marksand 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatevername known)ORSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marksand 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatevername known), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Normsand Procedure), Regulations 2002ORSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marksand 4-yearBachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)ORSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marksand 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)OR

B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com and two year Diploma in ElementaryEducation (by whatever name known)ORA candidate with BA/B.Sc./B.Com with at least 50% marks andB.Ed. qualification or with B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with at least 45%marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordancewith the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)Regulations issued from time to time in this regard, shall alsobe eligible for appointment to Class I to V upto 1st January,2012, provided he/she undergoes, after appointment, an NCTErecognized 6-month Special program in Elementary Education.2. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / PostGraduation with Hindi as one of the SubjectsNOTE:1. Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying at BA/B.Sc./ B.Com /Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC and Differentlyabled Candidates.2. A diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized bythe National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shallbe considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education(Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a courserecognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) onlyshall be considered.
  • 3. Scheme/Structure and Content:There shall be only one paper in this category. All questions willbe Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one markwith four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.No. of MCQs – 150; Duration of examination: one-and-a-half hours.Structure and Content (All Compulsory):Sr No. Content MCQs Marks1 Child Development and pedagogy 30 302 Language I (Hindi) 30 303 Language II (English) 30 304 Mathematics 30 305 Environmental Studies 30 30Nature and Standard of Questions: The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focuson educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to

They will focus on understandingthe characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interactionwith learners and the attributes and qualities of a goodfacilitator of learning. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies willfocus on the concepts, problem solving abilities andpedagogical understanding of the subjects. In all these subjectareas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over differentdivisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I-V by the Education Department, Govt. of Haryana. The questions in the tests for Paper I will be based on thetopics of the prescribed syllabus for classes I-V, but theirdifficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be upto thesecondary stage.Qualifying Marks: 60%Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking.
