Force Main Sewer <ul><li>New shallow pressure sewer from Beverly pump station on west side of Anthony Wayne Trail down Brookford to the equalization basin </li></ul><ul><li>To be located on south side of Brookford </li></ul><ul><li>Located off of street – except for crossings at OLPH and Island Avenue </li></ul><ul><li>Traffic maintained except for two crossings to be done in summer </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Will work with neighborhood to minimize disruption </li></ul></ul>

New Relief Sewers <ul><li>Deep sanitary sewers </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Wide trenches </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Large equipment </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Slower progress </li></ul></ul><ul><li>On Beverly from Brookford to Medford </li></ul><ul><li>On River Road from Brookford to Midland </li></ul><ul><li>Both relief sewer lines should help reduce basement flooding and eliminate overflows in area </li></ul><ul><li>Traffic control </li></ul>

New Relief Sewers/ Water Line on River Road <ul><li>From Brookford at River Road south to Midland </li></ul><ul><li>Will start soon </li></ul><ul><li>New water line will be installed first </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Water main will be done by June </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Will cause temporary disruption of water service </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Should help improve water pressure and main breaks in the area </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Sewer line installed after water line </li></ul><ul><li>Final restoration late summer, early fall </li></ul>

River Road Issues & Discussion <ul><li>Rolling closures – block-by-block will be necessary </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Access for residents only </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Road re-opened at end of each workday </li></ul><ul><li>Will be times driveways/side streets will be blocked </li></ul><ul><li>Contractor will notify residents in advance </li></ul>
  16. 16. Beverly Pump Station <ul><li>Underground – with electrical panel(s) above ground </li></ul><ul><li>Will pump waste from Beverly sewer to new EQ basin </li></ul>
