Capitalism speech Capitalism speech Presentation Transcript

  • A Special Occasion: The Fall of Capitalism
  • “It's the end of the world as we know it, but I feel fine.” - REM
    • Humans have been encapsulated in the expansion of capitalism
    • Communists and anarchists have tried before, with no success
  • Freedom Loving Peoples Rejoice!
    • Capitalism has fallen – and the system itself is to blame
    • Consumers could no longer take it
    • They stopped looking toward the government for help
    • They put down their money and credit cards and picked up pens, musical instruments, and gardening tools
  • The Essentials of a New Way
    • Some intrinsically valuable craft or skill
    • Critical thinking
    • Communicative skills
    • Working together as a community
    • Together we must decide how we conduct ourselves without money
  • You and Your Community Are the Dictators Now
    • No longer shall money determine your worth or where you go, how you get there, and if you stay
    • Adaptation is upon us
    • This is survival of the fittest
    • This is a new frontier, the ultimate discovery of human curiosity
  • “It's a New Dawn, It's a New Day, and I'm Feelin' Good.” - Nina Simone
    • We'll help the “clingers” by showing them that adaptation doesn't have to be scary
    • The way – content with ourselves, our environment, and our community
    • We have gained: independence, freedom, boundless creativity, and each other.
