2. Modes of our Documentary.
Participatory; our documentary will include
interviews with experts on teenagers and also
social networks.
Reflective; we will be highlighting an issue that the
audience will be familiar with.. It will encourage
our targeted audience to see through a youth’s
perspective of life on social networking sites.
Observational; By appearing to show real events.
our documentary also fits under the observational
mode. The characters may not be aware of the
camera; this makes it more realistic.
3. Voice.
Voiceover; To tell the audience the facts . They
usually have an authoritative voice which
allows the audience to think they are experts
on the given matter. Their tone would have to
be very confident as the audience would have
to believe that what they’re mentioning is
serious and is indeed a real issue.
4. Sound
Non-diegetic sounds gives the flow between
scenes and helps to draw in and influence our
audience at particular moments.
Diegetic sound will allow the audience to hear
what is actually being said.
5. Footage/Titles.
We will be using real footage to show the
audience that this is a first hand experience
and they get to witness the real events of the
situation.
Our use of titles will keep the audience aware
of events, locations, times, dates, and key
names.
