Organization <ul><li>A must </li></ul><ul><li>Defines responsibilities, law and order </li></ul><ul><li>But: </li></ul><ul><li>With large organizations comes the matrix, a demanding, unavoidable, complicated situation. </li></ul><ul><li>Demanding for human relations and a major challange for the leadership </li></ul><ul><li>A network? </li></ul>

Network <ul><li>The flat world </li></ul><ul><li>The need for speed and agility </li></ul><ul><li>This speed element has led to a situation where networks take ower the action from formal organizations </li></ul><ul><li>Network competes in the ”modern” world, not corporations </li></ul><ul><li>Who leeds, manages the network </li></ul>

The skill of the orchestrator lies in drawing out the talent and creativity of the network, coordnating all the individual elements and ensuring the success of the overall process” ( W&V Fung) </li></ul><ul><li>A hub </li></ul>

A Nordic perspective <ul><li>From a business perspective </li></ul><ul><li>Do we have organizations for Nordic cooperation </li></ul><ul><li>Yes (Note the area of cpmpetition.) </li></ul><ul><li>Do we have networks. </li></ul><ul><li>Not strong enough. </li></ul><ul><li>Has the globalization process eaten human capital from a Nordic process? </li></ul><ul><li>Looks like. </li></ul>

Cont.. <ul><li>A real network is based on trust among individuals who share a vision. </li></ul><ul><li>US business is driving a ”global green economy” concept, as an ex. </li></ul><ul><li>Would the Nordic value base not be more suitable for this? </li></ul><ul><li>My vision is that the future is a ”resource restricted economical growth” where Nordic history and values should be a success factor. </li></ul>
