  • What is an Audio Book?
    • A recording of an oral reading of a book, often in abridged form.
    • Abridged forms such as audiocassettes, CDs, MP3, etc.

  • What are the differences in reading strategies for audio books as opposed to print?
    • Audio books help auditory learners.
    • If an audio book is used with the paper copy of the book as well it targets auditory and visual learners.
    • Having these two options increases the ability to help most learners.
  • Can students increase their reading capabilities with audio books?
    • Yes.
    • They give all readers more confidence in themselves by allowing them to read books above their own level of reading.
