      • Implementation of large highway projects has been delayed
      • Current public transportation is inconvenient
      • HRP leadership engaged DRPT to get funding for the development of this Transit Vision Plan (TVP) focusing on a network of higher-speed transit
      • Other players:
        • HRMPO- leadership
        • HRT/WAT- guidance & expertise
      • TVP will be incorporated into state and regional long-range transportation plans

    7. Plan Implement-ation
      • CTB member has shown interest in including projects from the TVP in Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP)
      • MPO board member has shown interest in implementing a sub-set of the TVP.
      • Local governments desiring proposed transit services can use plan to direct development to proposed transit corridors.
