HP Mobility Retail Solutions™ for SAP®Empowering retail customers through a mobility platformOverview of Retail Mobility TrendsRetailers are currently undergoing a quiet revolution way beyond advances in their stockingand shelving procedures. Consumers are now expecting the ability to check prices, comparegoods, and evaluate ecology, as well as myriads of other contextual information in front ofthe shelf. Categories and assortment is no longer just won by placement, but rather byinformation richness and accessibility.Retailers that provide such services are shifting competition. Multi-channel interactions andaccess is fast becoming the norm (i.e. the “mobile moment”). In addition, they can vote and post comments within the an exlusive usercommunity.HP Apparel Fashion ApplicationThis iOS - iPad Application showcases a high-end vendor‟s latest apparel releases and theirfashion show videos. The custom-built SAP mobile application was prototyped for a majorfashion brand to showcase their latest apparel releases. The application supports gesturesfor swiping and zooming and is integrated with the online mobile sites.Smart ShelfSmart Shelf is an RFID-enabled solution to monitor product at the point of sale, providingreal-time information on the item‟s availability and authenticity, as well as accurate dataabout the flow of those items as a way to tune the supply chain. HP rolled out thisapplication in Latin America, specifically for management of HP printer cartridges at retail.Flexible DisplaysFlexible Displays is the first prototype of affordable, flexible electronic displays. These thin,paper-like displays can be used for digital signage, and electronic shelf labels; they and canbe folded, rolled up or attached to products.BI-Enabled Optimization of Promotional Pricing and Discount ReportingHP built this functionality specifically for a client who was unable to access detailed salesdata to analyze the actual effect of promotional pricing on sales.
HP developed and implemented a single, centralized enterprise data warehouse, anddeveloped a back-end system to collect and report sales data from the company‟s legacyand ERP (SAP) systems.HP Solution for Smart Vending – Connecting Vending Machines to SAPSmart Vending provides vending machine operators real-time tracking of their vendingmachine inventories and assets, thereby improving the capture and analysis of vendingmachines data to support informed decision-making, reduce stock-outs and improveprocesses.Distributor Connect for Real-Time CollaborationDistributor Connect enables real-time visibility into distributor inventory in SAP, leading tobetter control over stock and Secondary Sales, as well as higher case fill rates and lowerinventories.Green Approach to Warehouse Process OptimizationThe integrated all-in one (AiO) handheld is an HP printer with RF communications to businessapplications supporting WM processes such as Picking, Sorting, Receiving, Cross-Dockingand Exception Handling.
