      • An Alliance of Health IT vendors, Infrastructure companies, Government, Universities, Health providers
      • Objectives are to build collaborative relationships in the sector, initiate/undertake e-health projects, build member capability to grow their business in their chosen market
      • Is commercially focused

    6. Chronic Care IT Roadmap
      • FRST & Healthphone co-funded research project
      • To research the technology, information, and financial models required to deliver best practice chronic care in the community
      • A collaboration between the Cluster: Healthphone: University of Auckland
      • Will scope out concept/s for collaborative development project/s
      • Due for completion October 07
    7. Lean Thinking in ED Using RFID
      • Collaboration with Emendo; IBM; IBA ;Hawkes Bay DHB; and the Cluster
      • NZTE sponsored scoping project
      • Focused on ED, applying lean thinking principles to improve patient flow & capacity management
      • Using RFID to capture real time data
      • Other technology suppliers will get to participate when scope and development funding is agreed
    8. E-Labs Project
      • Regional e-Labs project championed by HISAC (Action Zone 5 of the NZ Health Information Strategy)
      • Co-sponsored by Ministry of Health, Lakes DHB and BOP DHB
      • 8 to 12 parties in the project & could involve many more!
      • Architectural workstream well underway
        • Data Repository, open standards, web based services
      • Clinical workstream scheduled
        • What information shared with whom, primary/secondary workflow, clinician interface, Reporting
    9. Consumer Health Portal Project
      • Collaborative project including Medtech, Simpl, Procare PHO, Healthpoint, Enigma, Telemessenger, ADHB, and the Cluster
      • Consumer portal with Personal Health Record
      • Information populated from GP PMS, and from the consumer and other agreed parties
      • Will enable and support self management
      • Access determined by the consumer
      • Sponsored by Microsoft and the MOH
      • Scoping underway
      • Delivery April 08

        • NZ Health Sector benefits through local innovation
        • Cluster Organisations benefit with new products and services to sell to NZ health sector and overseas markets

      • Significant interest in Collaborative Projects

        • NZ Companies vs Multi-Nationals
        • HISAC/HISO/NSCC
      • Encouraging attendance at events
      • Giving all members a chance to participate in a project
      • But not every member supports collaborative projects!
