Visible Noise Visible noise are an independent UK record label that were set up in 1998 that specialise in promoting Rock and Metal bands. Visible Noise was founded by Julie Weir, who ran extreme metal label Cacophonous for a number of years. Visible noise is based in London and has signed some of the most well known UK bands of the genre that often appear on magazine covers and play sell-out shows all over the UK even headlining major UK festivals such as download festival and have played gigs all over the world.
Visible noise is run by three people, and have 9 bands signed to the label. All bands are UK bands, all in the rock/metal genre.

TV and Radio None of the acts signed to Visible Noise are currently on this weeks Radio One playlist, however Lostprophets are often featured on the playlists near a new single release and most of the bands are featured on Kerrang! Radio. Lostprophets and Bring Me The Horizon are also often played on TV music channels such as Scuzz and Kerrang!
Download Music Festival. Download Festival is a rock and metal festival based in Donnington, the festival lasts 3 days and has a wide number of acts from across the rock and metal scene. This year THE PLIGHT who are signed to Visible Noise are playing a set on the Red Bull bedroom jam stage on Saturday. (Previous Visible Noise band Bullet For My Valentine are headlining the second stage on Friday night) Last year BRING ME THE HORIZON played a set on the second stage on the Friday and in 2008 LOSTPROPHETS headlined the main stage on the Sunday. LOSTPROPHETS are also playing this years Reading Festival.
New media technology. Marketing Visible noise use many different ways to market and promote the bands on their labels. All the bands have a MySpace and Facebook page, Visible noise itself has MySpace, Facebook and Twitter accounts. The bands are promoted through online updates on these and on the Visible Noise Website and the own band websites. The bands are also marketed through YouTube videos, playing gigs and fans can get email and mobile updates on the bands through the Visible Noise newsletters. New media technology has made it possible for fans of Visible Noise and the bands they promote to become more interactive with the bands, they can now get regular updates with ease without having to read through magazines every week or rely on word of mouth to find out about their favourite bands.
Distribution and Exchange. Visible noise has music available in many formats, CD’s, music DVD’s, downloads and vinyl records are all available to buy from visible noise. Music is sold through digital online downloads and through hard copy in the form of CD’s, music DVD’s, downloads and vinyl records. The digital copies are sold through ITunes and Napster as well as other online retailers and CD’s and vinyl records are available to buy from the Visible Noise website and from other retailers such as play.com and HMV online as well as being available from high street retailers.
