  1. Zeus • He became the supreme ruler of the gods. • He is lord of the sky, the rain god. • He is also known to punish those that lie or break oaths.
  2. Poseidon • He was lord of the sea. • He tired to impress Demeter by making the first horse. • His weapon is a trident, which can shake the earth, and shatter any object.
  3. Athena • Daughter of Zeus. • Goddess of the city, handicrafts, and agriculture. • She had no mother. • She also was goddess of Wisdom.
  4. Aphrodite • She is the goddess of love, desire, and beauty. • Homer calls her a daughter of Zeus and Dione.
  5. • Is the son of Zeus and Maia. • He was Zeus messenger. • Hermes was the god of thieves and commerce. • He invented musical scale, weights, and measures. Hermes
  6. • Brother of Zeus and Poseidon. • Was made lord of the underworld. • He was also the god of wealth after finding rare metals. • He made Persephone after abducting her. Hades
  7. Artemis • Goddess of chasitity, virginity, and natural environment. • Daughter of Zeus and Leto. • Her twin brother is Apollo. • Deer are extremely afraid of her.
