Economic <ul><li>Spain has entered into recession </li></ul><ul><li>The GDP per capita is about 24 000€ </li></ul><ul><li>The unemployment rate : 11,3% </li></ul><ul><li>The main sectors of activity : - services (67%) - industries ( 30%) </li></ul><ul><li>- agriculture ( 3%) </li></ul><ul><li>The largest sector is tourism </li></ul><ul><li>Spain is the first producer in the world of olive oil </li></ul>
  3. 3. Social/Cultural <ul><li>Spain is a country with a strong culture and especially a strong regional culture. </li></ul><ul><li>It’s a very religious country </li></ul><ul><li> 76% are catholic </li></ul><ul><li>  20% are atheistic </li></ul>

Technological <ul><li>The infrastructure has been expanded in recent years </li></ul><ul><li>Until 2010, there is a plan for more public investments. </li></ul><ul><li>The major sectors are :  telecommunication  computer science </li></ul><ul><li>The government wants to invest a lot of money to expand this sectors </li></ul>

Ecological <ul><li>One of the most important sectors is agriculture. </li></ul><ul><li>Since 1996 it is still growing. </li></ul><ul><li>The government supports economical working farms. </li></ul><ul><li>Compared to the EU it is still a small proportion of economical working farms. </li></ul><ul><li>Air pollution is still a big problem in Spain. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Political <ul><li>Spain is a social and democratic rule of law. </li></ul><ul><li>The representative of the state is a king (Juan Carlos I) </li></ul><ul><li>The government launched a programm to reduce the emission, following the European standards. </li></ul>
