      • Community Mapping is empowering citizens and community groups with the concept, the tools and access to base maps so that they can design, develop and deliver their own maps on the internet
      • EXAMPLES
      • Creative Annapolis
      • the lost village of Roxbury
      • cemeteries on Digby Neck
    4. Web GIS Web GIS allows access to GIS functions over the internet. This may include interactive maps, trip planning and analysis EXAMPLES:

      • The concept of Richard Florida applied to rural Canada.
      • EXAMPLE: for the Annapolis Valley
      • agriculture , e.g. Vineyards
      • tourism, e.g. artisans
      • cultural/history/arts e.g. history of Port George
      • small businesses e.g. Geomatics/IT companies
