  2. 2. All Good Bananas All Good wanted to give Kiwis an ethical and environmentally sustainable choice for their favorite fruit – making fair trade fruit available in NZ for the first time.
  3. 3. Baci Lounge Ltd Baci Lounge café/bookstore promotes literacy by funding weekly creative writing classes at low-decile schools with Director Sharad P Paul, and an annual short story competition.
  4. 4. Cycle Action Auckland CAA’s aim is to make Auckland a great place to cycle and they believe that cycling has an important part to play in the transport mix, combating congestion, pollution, and improving health.
  5. 5. EcoMatters Environment Trust Ecomatters delivers sustainability initiatives for Auckland communities around water and energy management, community gardening, stream restoration and much more.
  6. 6. Fonterra KickStart Breakfast Programme KickStart Breakfast is a nation-wide initiative open to all decile 1-4 schools (1,000 schools or 40% of all schools in the country)
  7. 7. Green Drinks Auckland Green Drinks is about getting people from diverse backgrounds together to talk sustainability. That’s scientists talking to ad execs, planners talking to teachers, business talking to non-profits, engineers talking to artists, academics talking to TV producers, and actors talking to architects.
  8. 8. Hub 174 - Te Wai Pounamu Foundation Dunedin's first centre for social innovation, Hub 174 provides resources, technology, collaboration, and a base from which people can confront the challenges our communities face.

He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust provides leadership, resources and opportunities in the area of Arts Infrastructure enabling community and arts groups to improve, develop and contribute to the further development and strengthening of the New Zealand Arts irrespective of social, economic or geographical isolation.

  11. 11. iSwish Limited iSwish aims to promote sustainable fashion, by putting unused clothes, shoes and accessories back into circulation via an online clothes swapping platform
  12. 12. Kiwibank Ltd and Social Capital Ltd New Zealanders on average spend $1.15 for every $1 they earn. Kiwibank developed Heaps! with its partners Social Capital to be the first free personal finance management tool from a NZ bank.
  13. 13. LIFEWISE and Inspiring Communities A community based initiative that encourages people to get to know their neighbors, building strong connections that make our neighborhoods healthier, safer and more vibrant places to live.
  14. 14. Living Theatre Trust Living Theatre Trust is providing a groundbreaking walk through exhibition that will engage audiences’ hearts and minds, inspiring lifelong changes towards marine conservation.
  15. 15. Medicine Mondiale Medicine Mondiale represents an innovative approach to developing medical products and services which improve the health and wellbeing of those in need throughout the developing world.
  16. 16. My Bag Cares My bag cares has a mission for all New Zealanders. For every eco-friendly, re-useable My bag cares bag purchased, Eco Bags NZ plants a tree on Motutapu Island.
  17. 17. Nelson Marlborough Plunket The scheme aims to promote the sense of community that develops from walking and cycling friendly communities as well as the benefits of exercise, family cohesion and safety.
  18. 18. Kate Meads - The Nappy Lady The Nappy Lady is a website that provides unbiased information surrounding cloth nappies. This gives parents the opportunity to search out information about the different styles of cloth nappies without having the confusion of brands.
  19. 19. Ooooby Ooooby is a social business that connects local food growers and eaters. To date Ooooby has a network of close to 3000 food growing members, mostly backyard growers and some small to medium farms.
  20. 20. Paraoa Bakehouse Paraoa Bakehouse make Purebread – organic and gluten free bread. This year has seen the launch of the Purebread Organic Education Programme and Trees for Survival planting using Purebread Bags.
  21. 21. Borderless Productions Borderless is an ideas company, committed to creating positive change in the world. Through unique films and communication projects, Borderless aims to inspire and motivate people to improve the lives of people all around the world.
  22. 22. Raeburn House This North Shore community health network runs “Connecting communities through Stitch” a collaborative quilt making project with a focus on stories of migration.
  23. 23. Royal New Zealand Plunket Society - Waikato Plunket Waikato developed the Superhero Roadshow to promote positive parenting messages in the community.
  24. 24. Return to Sender Eco Caskets The purpose of Greg Holdsworth’s business is to make a significant positive difference to the social and environmental impact of funerals both in New Zealand and in other more populated parts of the world.
  25. 25. Sinclair Knight Merz SKM, in collaboration with Epsom Normal Primary School and education specialists Hooked-on-Thinking (HOT) developed an innovative new teaching resource to help schools raise awareness of sustainability issues.

  28. 28. Sustainable Coastlines Sustainable Coastlines is a registered charity that motivates communities to care for our coastlines. They run collaborative, large- scale and fun coastal clean up events.
  29. 29. Te Whangai Trust Te Whangai trains, skills and advocates at risk youth through native tree planting and conservation projects.
  30. 30. The Low Carbon Zone:Low Zone Low Zone a commercial community-based sustainable business initiative that focuses on taking action on energy efficiency and resource use driving down costs and carbon at the same time.
  31. 31. Urban Pantry Urban Pantry is a not- for-profit business working to build strong, sustainable urban communities around edible gardens. They design and establish gardens making use of under-utilised urban spaces such as rooftops.
  32. 32. Yealands Estate Wines Yealands is a family-owned business located in Marlborough. At the heart of the Yealands vision is creating a paradigm shift in the wine industry by challenging industry norms and replacing practices that degrade the environment with innovative green solutions.
  33. 33. yMedia yMedia connects students, industry and not-for-profit organisations to develop and implement new media initiatives for collective growth through the yMedia challenge.
  34. 34. Zenergy The Zenergy Online Facilitation Skills programme is a social innovation programme aimed at meeting the Zenergy vision of whole people co-operating in a sustainable world.
  35. 35. Tipu Ake Organic Leadership Model Network The Tipu Ake ki te Ora Organic Leadership Model means growing ever upwards towards a place of Ora (Wellbeing) . It was inspired by the tiny school at Te Whaiti in the Whirinaki Rainforest, Te Urewera.
