  • 4. When YouSacrifice To The Lord
  • 5. Leviticus 1:3 & 5 (burnt offerings)3 If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd,he shall offer it, a male without defect; he shalloffer it at the doorway of the tent of meeting,that he may be accepted before the LORD.5 He shall slay the young bull before the LORD;and Aaron’s sons the priests shall offer up theblood and sprinkle the blood around on the altarthat is at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

Leviticus 2:1-2 (grain offerings)1 ‘Now when anyone presents a grain offeringas an offering to the LORD, his offering shall beof fine flour, and he shall pour oil on it and putfrankincense on it2 ….And the priest shall offer it up in smoke asits memorial portion on the altar, an offeringby fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.

Leviticus 4:3-6 (sin offering)…then let him offer to the LORD a bull withoutdefect as a sin offering for the sin he hascommitted. 4 He shall bring the bull to thedoorway of the tent of meeting before the LORD,and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bulland slay the bull before the LORD. 5 Then theanointed priest is to take some of the blood ofthe bull and bring it to the tent of meeting, 6 andthe priest shall dip his finger in the blood andsprinkle some of the blood seven times beforethe LORD, in front of the veil of the sanctuary.
  • 8. Leviticus 5:5-7 (guilt offering)…he shall make restitution for it in full and add toit one-fifth more. He shall give it to the one towhom it belongs on the day he presents his guiltoffering. 6 Then he shall bring to the priest hisguilt offering to the LORD, a ram without defectfrom the flock, according to your valuation, for aguilt offering, 7 and the priest shall makeatonement for him before the LORD, and he willbe forgiven for any one of the things which hemay have done to incur guilt.”

  • 10. Leviticus 11:2-4 (unclean animals)‘These are the creatures which you may eatfrom all the animals that are on the earth. 3Whatever divides a hoof, thus making splithoofs, and chews the cud, among the animals,that you may eat. 4 Nevertheless, you are notto eat of these, among those which chew thecud, or among those which divide the hoof:the camel, for though it chews cud, it does notdivide the hoof, it is unclean to you.
  • 11. Leviticus 11:20-21 (unclean insects)20 ‘All the winged insects that walk on all foursare detestable to you. 21 Yet these you may eatamong all the winged insects which walk onall fours: those which have above their feetjointed legs with which to jump on the earth.

Leviticus 12:5 (childbirth)5 But if she bears a female child, then she shallbe unclean for two weeks, as in hermenstruation; and she shall remain in theblood of her purification for sixty-six days. 6‘When the days of her purification arecompleted, for a son or for a daughter, sheshall bring to the priest at the doorway of thetent of meeting a one year old lamb for aburnt offering and a young pigeon or aturtledove for a sin offering.
  • 13. Leviticus 14:2-7 (infections of leprosy) Now he shall be brought to the priest, 3 and the priest shall go out to the outside of the camp. Thus the priest shall look, and if the infection of leprosy has been healed in the leper, 4 then the priest shall give orders to take two live clean birds and cedar wood and a scarlet string and hyssop for the one who is to be cleansed. 5 The priest shall also give orders to slay the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water. 6 As for the live bird, he shall take it together with the cedar wood and the scarlet string and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slain over the running water. 7 He shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird go free over the open field.

Leviticus 15:11-12 (bodily discharges)11 Likewise, whomever the one with thedischarge touches without having rinsed hishands in water shall wash his clothes andbathe in water and be unclean until evening. 12However, an earthenware vessel which theperson with the discharge touches shall bebroken, and every wooden vessel shall berinsed in water.

Leviticus 17:3-4 (blood for atonement) 3 “Any man from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or who slaughters it outside the camp, 4 and has not brought it to the doorway of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, bloodguiltiness is to be reckoned to that man. He has shed blood and that man shall be cut off from among his people.
  • 16. Leviticus 22:8(eating animals)8 He shall not eat an animal which dies or istorn by beasts, becoming unclean by it; I amthe LORD.
  • 17. Leviticus 20:9(cursing parents)9 ‘If there is anyone who curses his father or his mother, he shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother, his bloodguiltiness is upon him.

  • 19. Leviticus 15:31 (WHY)31 “Thus you shall keep the sons of Israel separated from their uncleanness, so that they will not die in their uncleanness by their defiling My tabernacle that is among them.”
  • 20. Leviticus 17:5(WHY)5 The reason is so that the sons of Israel maybring their sacrifices which they weresacrificing in the open field, that they maybring them in to the LORD, at the doorway ofthe tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrificethem as sacrifices of peace offerings to theLORD.
  • 21. Leviticus 26:1-13(IF YOU DO…)I shall give you rains in their seasonThe land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruitYou will eat your food to the fullYou will live securely in your landI shall grant peace in the landYou may lie down with no one making you trembleI shall eliminate harmful beasts from the landNo sword will pass through your landYou will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword;I will make you fruitful and multiply,I will make My dwelling among youMy soul will not reject youI will walk among you and be your GodYou shall be My people.

Leviticus 26:14-46 (IF YOU DON’T…)I will appoint over you a sudden terror, consumption and feverI will will waste away your eyesYou will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it upI will set My face against youYou will be struck down before your enemiesYou will flee when no one is pursuing youI will punish you seven times more for your sinsI will let loose among you the beasts of the fieldI will bereave you of your children and destroy your cattleI will also bring upon you a swordYou will eat and not be satisfied.You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters you will eatI will lay waste your cities

Hebrews 7:23-2423 The former priests, on the one hand, existedin greater numbers because they wereprevented by death from continuing, 24 butJesus, on the other hand, because Hecontinues forever, holds His priesthoodpermanently. 25 Therefore He is able also tosave forever those who draw near to Godthrough Him, since He always lives to makeintercession for them.

  • 27. Hebrews 9:28so Christ also, having been offered once tobear the sins of many, will appear a secondtime for salvation without reference to sin, tothose who eagerly await Him.

  • 29. 1 John 1:77 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is inthe Light, we have fellowship with oneanother, and the blood of Jesus His Soncleanses us from all sin.
