  • 2. INTRODUCTION ‘Gold Fields’ as a property has been carefully planned and developed over the last six years to create one of Australia’s premier equine centres and one of the leading performance horse studs in Australia operating as Equine Sports Breeding (ESB). Future developments will result in a world-class centre for entertainment, accommodation, education and events. Plans for outdoor concerts, food & wine Festivals and other sporting events are currently being developed. THE LOCATION ‘Gold Fields’ is ideally situated in the very centre of Victoria, just an hour and a quarter from Tullamarine Airport and only twenty minutes from Bendigo, which has ample accommodation, restaurants and attractions for the non-horsey members of the family. Only six kilometres from the nearest town, railway and major highway. Centrally located in a huge tourism and wine growing region. The mild climate and soil types are well suited to holding a winter event. THE PROPERTY Is 301 acres of attractive country nestled in its own ‘hidden valley’ with abundant gum trees for shade and shelter and ample room for any event. It borders thousands of acres of State Forrest, attracting a large variety and number of native birds and wildlife. Stabling & yards Twenty stables are available for use in the house area. 17 yards with post and rail fencing are already constructed. A number of paddocks will also be made available to competitors. Additional portable stables and yards can also be acquired. Amenities Modern portables are more than adequate to provide sufficient toilet and shower facilities (including disabled access). There is sufficient space and access for these. Water There is ample water in the dams. Rain water can be supplied into tank storage or water tankers. Sponsors area The north bank is an ideal location for sponsors, providing first class viewing of the main arena. Shaded VIP parking is available directly behind the bank, reducing the walking distance for sponsors. The Cross Country Course Ewen Kellett has already built the Grade 1 & 2 tracks. The course is a wonderful blend of bush and open areas. The course is designed to be media and spectator friendly with the majority of the course viewable from one area including provision for disabled people. The entire course is both exciting and new. Many of the jumps are portable and so the course can be built to maximum dimensions with appropriate lengths for both Grade 1 and 2 and be in line with any requirements of the Technical Delegate for your 8 event.
  • 9. Catering In addition to the above, a variety of food vans can be available during the event for competitors and spectators. Other A playground area for the younger members of the family can be made available. A bus service into Bendigo can be arranged.
