Name: Chetan Rahate, PGDIE42, NITIE, MumbaiEmail Id: email@example.com Phone no.: 7709463728My dreams:(1) To prove existence of SOUL (2)To promote vedic science and To learn sanskritI know my dreams are very peculiar, even some of you might be laughing on my dream but yes thatis my dream.I’m writing down the summary of one article written by Dr. P.V. Vartak for a magazine ‘Life Beyond’to take you through the essence of what I’m dreaming of.Dr. P.V. Vartak is MBBS by profession and a student of ‘ADHYATMA’ AND ‘YOGA’ who is practicing itsince many years. He had read and heard of many miracles done by Yogis. But as he is ascientist(medical field) he was not ready to believe these miracles, unless they are proved byscientific methods. I know his many experiences but here I will restrict to only one - an Astral Travelto the MARS.In 1975 NASA was to launch their spaceship Viking-1 on land of Mars as there wasn’t any definiteinformation about Mars at that time and by knowing this news he thought of doing an experiment ofgetting the knowledge of the Mars by the ways of " ADHYATMA " to test this knowledge bycomparing the reports of the American spaceship .On August 10, 1975 at 9.15 am he went into Samadhi, when he left his body he went straight to theMars. At that time he didn’t feel no relations with his physical body, his home and this earth. He feltthat He was physically standing on the Mars. He did not feel that he travelled from the Earth to theMars because this projection of Astral Body(Soul) was instantaneous. The moment he left his bodyon the Earth, he was on the Mars, 340 millions of miles away. After observing all the facts, suddenly, he returned to the Earth, in to his body. He came toconsciousness. After watching time he came to know that he was in deep Dhyana and Samadhi foronly 15 minutes. After coming to senses, immediately, he wrote whatever he could remember. He observed following fact from his experiment(1) There is no life on the Mars- no human being, no animal, no bird, no insects, no trees, no plants,no life of any kind, no living creature of any kind.(2) There is no water on the Mars -neither flowing water like river, stream etc., nor stagnant waterlike lakes, ponds, seas etc.(3) There is moisture i.e. water content in atmosphere as is evident from cool breeze of air.
(4) Environment is dry and barren.(5) Sky is blue with evening colours like red, yellow, and green.(6) Formerly, in the long past, there were rivers on Mars as indicated by the empty riverbed.(7) There must have been life on the Mars in remote past as is indicated by presence of driedup and blackened Algae on the rock surfaces.(8) The soil, rocks, pebbles etc. were all red in colour like those in Konkan- Goa side.(9) The ground on Mars is just like that of the Earth containing mountains valleys, stones, pebbles etc. It does not resemble like that of the Moon, with craters.(10) The breeze, which he felt was cold, it indicated the presence of water content in air.and these were published in two Marathi magazines ‘SANTAKRIPA’ June issue, published on 21stMay 1976 and ‘DHARMIK’, July issue published in June 1976.On August 10, 1975, He had seen all these twenty one points and sub points within 15 minutes’time, ten days prior to the launching of Viking - 1, which was launched on August 20, 1975. It tookenergy of thousands of scientists for many years, it took billions of dollars, financial energy, it usedample and dreaded atomic energy and it took full eleven months to reach the Mars, about 340millions of miles away, and the reports sent by this Viking-I were the same as his. I had given 21points and sub points on August 10, 1975. Till that date it was held by all scientists that on the Marsthe human beings have prepared canals of water for agriculture. Even " Mariner 9 " had givenphotographs of these canals in 1973. So he had to face all sorts of people calling him a great foolbut from 23rd July 1976 onwards reports by Viking 1 were sent to earth and Out of his 21 points 20were proved to be correct. Only one point of presence of old, dead, dark moss was not confirmed. But its reason is that the Viking scraped only the soil and not the rocks. It is well known that themoss gathers on rocks and never grows in soil. As Viking did not scrape the rocks it did not give thereport of moss. That does not mean that he was wrong. Thus his success was cent percent. It is tobe noted that much later in 1987 the Pathfinder reported the presence of water on the Mars, in thelong past. Spirit and other spaceships confirm the same.In his second experiment of Astral Travel on 12th August, 1976, he observed by Clairvoyance thedocking of spaceships Viking-1 & Viking-2. Advance observation by him was subsequently confirmedby NASA on 7th Sept. 1976.In yet another Astral Travel to the planet Jupiter on 27th August 1977 , he made 18 distinctobservations on the Jupiter. Spaceship Voyager corroborated his 10 observations in 1979, while theremaining observations are yet to be tangibly proved, may be, through some future space programof humanity.
The point I wanted to prove is the existence of soul which Dr. P.V. Vartak proved with the help ofspiritual science and I want to prove it with the help of modern science (quantum mechanics) for thesake common people. Now talking about my other dream of promoting vedic science for the great reason thattoday’s science is not that much forward than ancient vedic science. We have got a wonderfulheritage of 4 vedas , ayurveda , upnishads, bhagwatas, ramayana etc which contains a lot moreknolwdge than what we are gaining from today’s science.About Vedas, Our generation has forgotten it. But if we show it convincingly our new generation canthink of doing research in science with the help of vedas.I do not claim that by studying the ancient literature, we will get a detailed procedure to develop anyweapon. But it is to be noted that even by reading the modern books, we do not get a procedure toprepare any weapon. Some trade secrets are always preserved. So it is our duty to study andincrease our knowledge to such a level that we can produce weapons of our own for our nation’sdefence and offence too. From the ancient books we are sure to get many ideas and some clues toprepare weapons ourselves. Today, after 39 years of Independence, we are totally dependent onforeign countries for our defence. We purchase ships, aeroplanes and weapons from foreigncountries. We cannot produce weapons by reading even the modern books on science. We have totake the know-how from foreigners. If we want to be self-sufficient, our scientists must work hard, theoretically and practically. For them we can get many ideas to work on, from the ancient Sanskritliterature. I want to make clear one more point, that we should not expect spoon-feeding. Wecannot get knowledge ready in our modern language. We have to understand the language of ourancestors namely Sanskrit, in which is hidden a treasure of knowledge. Sanskrit contains a lot ofscience; but unfortunately no scholar has worked on it. People look towards the drama, poetry andsuch aspects of Arts faculty only, because they cannot understand the language. There are tworeasons of this ignorance. First is that a master of language cannot understand science, unless heknows science. A person, having a degree of M.A., Ph. D. in English cannot understand ‘Anatomy’written in English, but a medical Doctor with poor English can understand Anatomy easily. So I saythe mastery of only language part is no good for examining the ancient literature. The second reasonis that being ancient that language is unintelligible. We have to understand that language on thebase of our knowledge. Lokamanya B. G. Tilak hinted at this and has written in his book, ‘The ArcticHome in the Vedas’ (page 94) that “ it will be our own fault if we fail to utilize the knowledge nowgained to elucidate those portions of our sacred books, which are still unintelligible”. Prof. Max Muller also has said that “ it is the duty of each generation of Vedic scholars to reduceas much as possible the unintelligible portion of the Rigveda, so that with the advance of scientificknowledge each succeeding generation may, in this manner, naturally be in a better position thanits predecessors.”I think the Sanskrit scholars and scientists of India never behaved as was advised by Lokamanya Tilakand Max Muller; but the Germans, scientists and Sanskrit scholars, did work accordingly. The resultwas that the Germans advanced much ahead of the world in the physical sciences. As Oppenheimer,a great physicist, who was responsible for development of atom bomb, has publicly admiredSanskrit. He said in 1957 at Princeton, in a public lecture, (which was attended by WranglerG.L.Chandratre), that the German scientists got the idea of atom and nuclear energy contained in itfrom the study of the Vedanta. Hence I’ve to learn Sanskrit .Now we’ll see what our eminent scientist says about veda and ancient science.Albert Einstein:
"We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which noworthwhile scientific discovery could have been made.“J. Robert Oppenheimer, American nuclear physicist:“Access to the Vedas is the greatest privilege this century may claim over all previous centuries. “Erwin Schrodinger, a nobel laurete:“Vedanta teaches that consciousness is singular, all happenings are played out in one universalconsciousness and there is no multiplicity of selves.”According to Quantum physics, at the basis of all matter is a non-localised, non-material field, vibrations(strings) of which generate the elementary particles and forces that construct and governthe universe. This fundamental field of nature unifies, co-ordinates and integrates into one coherentwhole, all the diverse aspects of our body, of our ecology and of our world.According to the Vedic scientists, this unified field of nature glimpsed by modern scientists is thefield of consciousness, vibrations of which give rise to our thoughts and feelings. Such a hypothesis isnot unlike that held by prominent physicists. Max Planck, the father of quantum field theory, forexample said that, "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as a derivative ofconsciousness."Dr Tony Nader, MD PhD, found that the human body is an exact replica of the organisation ofsounds in the ancient Vedic texts.
And yes I do believe in GodRead out the following argument .This is an argument between a science student and his professor some years backAn atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, TheAlmighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....Prof: So you believe in God?Student: Absolutely, sir.Prof: Is God good?Student: Sure.Prof: Is God all-powerful?Student: Yes.Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us wouldattempt to help others who are ill. But God didnt. How is this God good then? Hmm?(Student is silent.)Prof: You cant answer, can you? Lets start again, young fella. Is God good?Student: Yes.Prof: Is Satan good?Student : No.Prof: Where does Satan come from?Student: From...God...Prof: Thats right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?Student: Yes.Prof: Evil is everywhere, isnt it? And God did make everything. Correct?Student: Yes.Prof: So who created evil?(Student does not answer.)Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, dont they?Student: Yes, sir.Prof: So, who created them?(Student has no answer.)Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you.Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?Student: No, sir.Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?Student: No, sir.Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensoryperception of God for that matter?Student: No, sir. Im afraid I havent.Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?Student: Yes.Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesnt exist. What do you say to that, son?Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.Student: And is there such a thing as cold?Prof: Yes.Student: No sir. There isnt.(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a littleheat or no heat. But we dont have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but wecant go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold . Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat .We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy . Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it .(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre..)Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?Prof: Yes. What is night if there isnt darkness?Student : Youre wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and itscalled darkness, isnt it? In reality, darkness isnt. If it were you would be able to make darknessdarker, wouldnt you?Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there isdeath, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science cant even explain a thought. It uses electricity andmagnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the oppositeof life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not theopposite of life: just the absence of it..Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even provethat this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not ascientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professors brain?(The class breaks out into laughter.)Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professors brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir? (The room is silent. The professorstares at the student, his face unfathomable.)Prof: I guess youll have to take them on faith, son.Student: That is it sir... The link between man & God is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving& alive.this is a true story, and thestudent was none other than.........Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former president of India.
Adding to this he even quoted,” I wonder why some people tend to see science as something whichtakes man away from God. As I look at it, the path of science can always wind through the heart. Forme, science has always been the path to spiritual enrichment and self-realisation.”My budget:related spiritual book and scientific books – 6000/-To and fro journey to different ashrams – 6000/-For promotion of vedic science throughout India – 60,000/-Total Cost: 72,000/-
