1. “ Pankaj Ka Rickshaw”
Hi everyone,
I am Pankaj. I have a dream to launch “Pankaj Ka Rickshaw”…..Ya, you
heard it right I want to launch my rickshaw near Delhi Station. This dream of mine was
born in my heart during Graduation days when I used to hire a rickshaw to go to my
college which was approximately two kilometer away from rickshaw stand. During my
journey in rickshaw , I always used to think that neither I am utilizing or enjoying my time
by sitting idle or at the max listening to song. Moreover, there was a sense of guilty in my
heart whenever I used to think about the rickshaw puller, who I don’t think deserve only 20
bugs in that hot summer days when the temperature was around 38C. So, I decided to
launch my own Rickshaw which will have all the necessary service to cater to the daily
needs of passengers sitting inside, at the same time make the journey more comfortable for
both the passenger and rickshaw puller and increasing the source of revenue for the
Rickshaw puller. My Rickshaw will have various source of entertainment for passenger
such as Cold-Drink, Walkman, Newspaper, magazine, fan, light, chocolate, comfortable
seat, mirror, etc. at one side to make the journey of passenger comfortable however small it
is. While on the other side I want to have various services available such as Mobile
recharge, Sim card, Hotel service, Restaurant detail, Railway Ticket availability, Telephone
Bill payment, Laundry facility, Garbage collection from your home and many
more…….Infact I will have a service booklet in three different languages (Hindi, English
and Punjabi) called

2. “ AAPKI PROBLEM HAMARI PROBLEM ” “CALL AT 1111 0000” for any problem for any
service. Apart from this , I will also design the rickshaw in a colorful way with different lights
and other stationery items. Moreover, I will design the rickshaw in such a manner that there
will be many advertisement board around it. I will advertise about different things such as
store, recent event in city, hotel, restaurant ,etc.. The seat will be slightly tilted so that the
passenger can keep their luggage at the back space. The rickshaw will have a cover all around
it to give privacy to passenger and at the same time maintain a comfortable environment
inside .The will also be a solar roof which will tap solar energy during day time that will be
used for lightning and the rickshaw puller can take the battery to his house because he
earned it too. Their will be shed for rickshaw puller also and a proper dress code to make them
look special.
I don’t want to advertise for earning money but I want that the rickshaw puller
should earn from those advertisement. At the same time , the various services which will be
given to customer their will be some commission with the hotel or restaurant or whatever the
services offered by rickshaw puller. They already provide those service but they don’t have the
knowledge of marketing to earn from it, they are already moving whole day during day time
but they don’t have the knowledge of engineering to use the solar energy for their own use. I
think in my life this is the best place where I can use my knowledge of both engineering and
MBA to earn a smile in the face of those really deserving people rather than wasting my
knowledge to run behind the digit for corporate world or to fulfill my materialistic need.
The poor deserve the comfort too what we deserve in our life.
7. Steps to fulfill my dream
• I have talked with many local rickshaw dealer to modify their design. They were
ready to do so, if I will give some money from the profit. Moreover, they will not
bear the cost of redesigning the rickshaw.
Step-1 • Approximately the budget of redesigning the rickshaw will be around Rs.15,000/-
. So, at least I can launch around 15 rickshaw initially.
• I was also planning to give training to rickshaw puller about how to carry out this
activity for some year and after sometime they can carry out this process
independently.
Step-2 • After few year we can open this service to different part of the country and then
we can carry out this activity at large scale.
• Initially my aim will be launch the rickshaw around station where most of
the people come new to city, to help them and provide service within two

Firstly, I want to thank Godrej for coming to our college and
asking about our dream rather than showing the target, profit ,
loss, etc about the company.
Godrej has really given a push to fulfill my dream and a great
support for which I was looking for so long. I was stucked with
my academic for last few years and there was lack of
encouragement from someone to go forward with my dream.
Godrej loud will definetely help me in providing a nice guidance
to go forward with my dream . At the same time, the financial
support will help me to launch my rickshaw which I don’t have at
present and for which I have to wait few more year to fulfill my
dream.
