  • BarryHansen Barry Hansen, Business Consultant at i-p@c Business Consulting Tom, I agree that there will still be a need for 'training' as well as social learning. However, I feel that, while we can separate those streams now, they must merge together as social learning becomes more prominent. Social learning will take the place of formal training. The major difficulty we all face is how to integrate the two into one learning strategy which will suit the needs of future generations for which these technologies will be even more entrenched. 5 months ago

  • andreakback University St. Gallen, IWI3-HSG at University St. Gallen, IWI3-HSG I read the article and I share many of the ideas. The title of the document raised expectations about the structure and the content of the essay that it actually does not meet. The reader has to do this work, analyze the essay to extract 'what works and does not work'; also there is no empirical data on these main points. Yes, I see the need for a catchy title that makes people want to read an article, but it should fit. It should not be like a TV-ad, where the commercial promises what people want and not what the product actually can provide. I wanted to let you know that I get a bit annoyed when I see this tactic used by knowledge artisans. Why not use the title of the document as micro-abstract for the content, like a good tweet? 6 months ago
