MapConnect:
• MapLink – Linking documents to geography
• MapView – Web-based GIS for geographic retrieval of
documents
• MapConnect Toolbar for ArcGIS Desktop users

Map Connect - MapLink
• Application for geographic linking
documents built on ArcGIS Engine
• Works alongside DocStar client
• User scans and files a document in
docSTAR, then geographically links the
document to:
A feature in any layer; or,
A general geographic area
(rectangle)
•User can link documents
individually or as groups

MapConnect - MapView
• Web-based GIS application for geographic retrieval of
documents (based on ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.3)
• Provides general GIS functionality as well as the ability
to retrieve and view documents by:
Selecting features from any
layer; or,
Defining an area of interest
on the map display

MapConnect Toolbar for ArcGIS Desktop
• Toolbar for ArcView users providing same document
retrieval functionality as MapView
• Provides feature and area retrieval tools
