God, Church & Your Job Presentation Transcript

  • 1. career month: God is not as interested in your comfort as He is in your purpose. Work is a blessing from God! Gen 1: 28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
  • 2. career month: God is only all you need when He is the only One you have. BALANCE Prov 11:1 Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight.
  • 3. career month: It’s about who you are before what you do. We are human beings. My work in God & God in my work
  • 4. career month: The meaning of life begins when you discover that you were made by God for Him. Servanthood & Celebration: I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 1Cor 9:22 I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. 1Cor 10:33
  • 5. career month: If you don't work, you don't eat. 2 Thess 3:10 1Cor 5:9-11 - I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with impure people-- 10Not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether! 11But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, or is a person with a foul tongue, or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person.
