    Fund will be split evenly among 12 projects for one year
    12 Finalists will benefit from the Girl Effect Fund for one year following the Challenge
    6 Finalists determined by the # of unique donors received during the Challenge
    6 Finalist chosen by the Girl Effect expert panel

    About $250,000 was raised in 2010
    $240,000 has already been raised in 2011

    What to focus on:

    Giving options
    Summary
  • 9. Compelling Project Page
    Specific, action -oriented
    Close-up, high -resolution photo
    Tangible, realistic, varied
    Easy to understand, jargon-free, project specific
  • 10. Title: Your introduction to donors
    No more than 50 characters including spaces
    Your title should answer:
    Who is your project impacting?
    What is the benefit?
    Where is the project?
  • 11. Which of these projects would you support?
    Protect the environment
    Empower 500 rural women in Pakistan through entrepreneurship capacity for a more sustainable lifestyle
    Restore Eyesight to 500 Nepalese Villagers
    Send a Child to School in India for a Year

    The project summary should support the title and describe in 100 words or less:
    Who is being helped?
    What are you doing?
    Where are you doing it?
    How are you doing it?
  • 14. Photos: Let donors visit your project
    Use photos that best illustrate your project, the community it serves, and the work you do.
  • 15. Giving Options: Providing a reference point
    Donation options describe what a specific donation amount will provide.
    The KEY is to show the impact that each donation has, linking that donation to something tangible and meaningful
    Include donation options of all levels.
    Donation options must be at least $10
