      • Full time undergraduate students who:
      • Are domiciled in Wales or England, and
      • Are eligible for UK student support, and
      • Are starting their studies in September 2012
      • Have not studied previously at HE level
    • 3. 2012 tuition fees
      • University of Glamorgan
      • Degree - £9,000* per yr
      • Foundation Degree/HND - £7,500* per yr
      • *Expect an annual inflationary increase
    • 4. Support for tuition fees
      • Students do not have to pay fees ‘up front’
      • Welsh students:
      • Tuition Fee Loan (£3,465)
      • Tuition Fee Grant (fees above £3,465)
      • English students:
      • Tuition Fee Loan (up to £9,000)
      • Previous study can affect eligibility to fee grant and loan.

      • Disabled Students Allowance.
      • * Welsh rates are specified above.
    • 9. Student loan repayment
      • Income contingent.
      • Threshold is £21,000 per year (if working in UK).
      • Interest set at rate of inflation + 3% whilst studying. After study interest depends on level of salary.
      • Repayments are 9% of earnings over the threshold.
      • Collected through the tax system and calculated monthly.
      • Outstanding balance written off after 30 years.

    • 10. Centenary Bursary from the University of Glamorgan
      • Worth up to £5,500
      • Worth £1,500 for halls in year 1
      • £1,000 per year for remainder of normal duration of course
      • To qualify:
      • Be personally liable for £9,000 fees.
      • Live 45 miles + from Treforest campus (CF37 1DL).
      • Reside in halls of residence in first year.
      • Satisfy course and bursary application terms…
    • 11. Centenary Bursary from the University of Glamorgan
      • To qualify:
      • Apply through UCAS for full-time honours degree at the University by 15 th January 2012 .
      • Accept offer of place on course on a firm basis by 9 th May 2012.
      • Apply for Centenary Bursary online by 9 th May 2012 .
      • Don’t forget to apply for your place in halls
