    3. 3. 2012 tuition fees <ul><li>University of Glamorgan </li></ul><ul><li>Degree - £9,000* per yr </li></ul><ul><li>Foundation Degree/HND - £7,500* per yr </li></ul><ul><li>*Expect an annual inflationary increase </li></ul>

Support for tuition fees <ul><li>Students do not have to pay fees ‘up front’ </li></ul><ul><li>Welsh students: </li></ul><ul><li>Tuition Fee Loan (£3,465) </li></ul><ul><li>Tuition Fee Grant (fees above £3,465) </li></ul><ul><li>English students: </li></ul><ul><li>Tuition Fee Loan (up to £9,000) </li></ul><ul><li>Previous study can affect eligibility to fee grant and loan. </li></ul>

Student loan repayment <ul><li>Income contingent. </li></ul><ul><li>Threshold is £21,000 per year (if working in UK). </li></ul><ul><li>Interest set at rate of inflation + 3% whilst studying. After study interest depends on level of salary. </li></ul><ul><li>Repayments are 9% of earnings over the threshold. </li></ul><ul><li>Collected through the tax system and calculated monthly. </li></ul><ul><li>Outstanding balance written off after 30 years. </li></ul>Annual Income Less than £21,000 £25,000 £30,000 £35,000 £40,000 Monthly repayments Nil £30 £67.50 £105 £142.50

Centenary Bursary from the University of Glamorgan <ul><li>Worth up to £5,500 </li></ul><ul><li>Worth £1,500 for halls in year 1 </li></ul><ul><li>£1,000 per year for remainder of normal duration of course </li></ul><ul><li>To qualify: </li></ul><ul><li>Be personally liable for £9,000 fees. </li></ul><ul><li>Live 45 miles + from Treforest campus (CF37 1DL). </li></ul><ul><li>Reside in halls of residence in first year. </li></ul><ul><li>Satisfy course and bursary application terms… </li></ul>

Centenary Bursary from the University of Glamorgan <ul><li>To qualify: </li></ul><ul><li>Apply through UCAS for full-time honours degree at the University by 15 th January 2012 . </li></ul><ul><li>Accept offer of place on course on a firm basis by 9 th May 2012. </li></ul><ul><li>Apply for Centenary Bursary online by 9 th May 2012 . </li></ul><ul><li>Don’t forget to apply for your place in halls </li></ul>
