  • ENERGY SAVING SOLUTIONS TOGETHER WE CAN
  • Lighting • Turn off when not in use!
  • Lighting: Use task lighting • Right illumination for every task.
  • Lighting: replace old bulbs! A 15-watt compact fluorescent bulb produces the same amount of light as a 60-watt incandescent bulb. GOOD! BETTER BEST
  • Air Conditioners • Always prefer to have a fan instead of an AC • Using a fan for a hour costs less than 5% of the cost of using an AC
  • Air Conditioners • Insulate the room with curtains and green cover
  • Air Conditioners • Set the temperature to above 22°C and save close to 5% of energy
  • Air Conditioners • Maintenance: Clean filters regularly and replace old AC models
  • Refrigerator • Store in a cool, dry place! • Allow for air circulation
  • Refrigerator • Maintenance: Clean the coils and avoid frost build up • Don’t open/close the doors often. It slows the cooling effect
  • Water heaters • Reducing the temperature setting of water heater from 60 degrees to 50 degrees C, one could save over 18 percent of the energy used at the higher setting.
  • Gadgets • Turn off when not in use! • Avoid standby modes, turn off completely
