    • This presentation is not intended to replace the treatment of a medical professional. It is just to inform you of the possible benefits of steps that you may not have taken in the past.
    • All attempts to try an alternative option must be discussed with you primary doctor, especially if you are being treated for a medical disorder at the present time.
  • 4. Facts
    • Food Safety is important for many reasons
    • Food Tolerance affects ones nutritional choices
    • Most Americans do not get the right amount of nutrients for one reason or another
    • Alternative therapies can prolong the conventional and last resort treatment for major and chronic disorders or diseases
  • 5. Vitamins and Minerals
    • A basic multivitamin (age appropriate) can be all you need, but one may be deficient in a particular vitamin that is causing symptoms of imbalance in health. An alternative physician (along with one’s primary doctor) can check for these suspected deficiencies.
    • Try to get most of these vitamins and minerals from your food intake (Costello, 2011).
  • 6. Herbs and Natural Supplements
    • Herbs and natural supplements must be looked into or taken with the guidance of an alternative physician (along with one primary physician). Some are false advertised as natural and some can be dangerous to fatal if taken with other medicines or if one has a particular disorder (Costello, 2011).
  • 7. Alternative Treatments
    • Examples of some alternative treatments are:
    • Chiropractic care
