Beautiful Timber Acoustic Panels

Murano Timber Panels incorporate the latest perforation techniques from around the world to maximize sound absorption and reduce reverberation when installed. The panel face is laminated and finished, then precision routed to produce the desired decorative effect.

The MDF substrate on these highly engineered panels may also be perforated independently to allow sound to pass through and be dissipated.

Murano Acoustic Wood Panels come with three alternate finishes:
■High Pressure Laminate,
■Painted Wood Veneer, and
■Natural Wood Veneers.

The wood panels come perforated, slotted or with the unique Murano design

  7. 7. ACOUSTICS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SHEET 1SUPREMO™ GROOVED ACOUSTIC PANELS— WALL CLADDING1. DEMOUNTABLE METHOD: SUPREMO groovedacoustic panels have an MDF core, laminated, veneered or finished to suit. They are supplied astongue and grooved “planks” in widths of 197, 293and 581mm , up to 2400mm long. The installationsystem described here allows for a fastener-free,demountable and re-usable wall finish, with virtuallyundetectable horizontal joints.General InstructionsThe fixing rails need to be securely screw fastened tothe structure. Insulation may be inserted betweenthe rails to increase the acoustic performance ifrequired . To increase the thickness of the cavity, timber battens of appropriate thickness will need toinstalled first. 1. Install Fixing Rail to surface at 600mm centresFor Murano panels installed horizontally, start fromthe lowest panel and work upwards.COMPONENTSMurano Fixing Rails(Aluminium Extrusion) and self-tapping screws.Murano FixingClips 2. Position and fix the first panel using Starter ClipsFor fixing all subsequent panels(see below)Securing Fixing ClipsThe clip lugs are pushed into the u-shaped fixingrails and rotated as shown below, until they “click”into position. They can then be slid down the rail toretain and hold the panel as shown in diags. 2 and 3 3. Install subsequent tongue and grooved panels andopposite. secure with Fixing Clips as shown at left
  8. 8. ACOUSTICS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SHEET 2SUPREMO™ PERFORATED ACOUSTIC PANELS— WALL FIXING SYSTEMMurano SUPREMO Timber Panels are available in arange of perforated and slotted patterns. These can be Murano Aluminium Split Battenutilized as a stylish sound absorbing wall treatment(insulation infill is required, see below and Fig 2), orsimply as a decorative cladding. In both cases, the use ofMurano aluminium split battens allows for an easilydemountable wall cladding system.TO MAXIMISE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE: Install toexisting walls by FIRST fixing timber battens (of therequired thickness), spaced at 600mm centres, over thearea to be clad. The split battens are then fixed in place tocreate an air space between the panels and the wall asshown in Fig. 1. Fibrous insulation is then fitted betweenthe battens as an acoustic absorber., prior to installing theSUPREMO panels.
