Getting local image files to work in Google EarthFirst of all, in OPTIONS (or PREFERENCES on a Mac, go to the GENERAL tab) andensure that LOCAL files are enabled – you will receive a dire warning as if this isan awful thing to do…Create your placemark.Double click the ADD IMAGE button and it will leave a code in the box ready foran image location.Browse to the image and get the PROPERTIES of the image/ folder path to itslocation – for exampleNote that you must have file:/// and then add the location e.g. C:/MyDocuments/ etc. on a Windows PCThis SHOULD work 
