EPA's ALOHA plume modeler is an adaptable program that creates hazardous chemical plumes. Unfortunately, it does not take into account environmental features such as ground cover, elevation or aspect. This poster documents the methodology used to enhance the ALOHA program with ArcGIS to add in the missing environmental factors which could affect natural airflow patterns and thus plume development.
