Françoise Belet – Barcelona 27 march 2009 However our region is far from achieving equality between man and woman More women are unemployed, work part time, are lone parents and as everywhere Deal with domestic tasks. There is a strong concentration of jobs in a limited number of sectors, with lower salaries and carreer propects. Moreover there is a lack of statistics and research about gender.

Françoise Belet – Barcelona 27 march 2009 In order to fight all discriminations the region as launched a framework policy in september 2007 called "Regional commitment for a global policy of fight against discriminations. This policy includes all ground of discriminations, including sex either specifically or in mainstreaming.
