  • 2. Classification <ul><li>The scientific name for a dolphin is Tursiops Truncatus. </li></ul>
  • 3. Description <ul><li>A dolphin is small ,it has a long beaklike snout, dorsal fin, blow hole, melon, toothed beak, eye, ear, flipper, white and grey belly&apos;s, dark blue grey to brown, flukes are on the side of a dolphins tail and the median notch is on the middle of the tail. </li></ul>
  • 4. moves <ul><li>A dolphin moves its tail up and down for swimming. They can jump high out of the water and dolphins can surf waves. They stay very still when they are sleeping in the water. </li></ul>
  • 5. diet <ul><li>A dolphin eats fish and squid. Dolphins have 100 teeth in there mouth. They use them to eat fish and squid. </li></ul>
  • 6. Interesting information <ul><li>Bottlenose dolphins are not in danger. Bottlenose dolphins have a life span of about 25 years </li></ul>
