Business need for Inventory Dashboard • Due to restructuring the organization (combine 6 “factories” into 1): – Minor process owners; each with a broader scope to manage – Harmonizing the different processes, different definitions, etc. – increase of volume / sales (~10% p/y for last 5 years) resulting in lack of floor space / warehouse / storage • More and more management focus for inventory control (cost reduction). • Difficulties with translating the (SAP based) financial stock figures into an “operational stock program”. • Standard SAP report functionality does not meet all requirements • Part of overall LEAN program: “eliminate waste”.Confidential Philips Healthcare, CME Best, Robert Garenfeld, November 16, 2011 4
